To help users make the most of our tools, we provide tutorials and use cases that demonstrate how to get started and succeed with Outlight’s platform. Below is an example tutorial for the Outlight Sniping Bot on Telegram, which highlights the key steps and features for new users:

Telegram Sniping Bot

What is the Outlight Sniping Bot?

The Outlight Sniping Bot is a Telegram-based tool for tracking trading signals from well-known investors (KOLs), available on both X (Twitter) and Telegram, and automatically copying their trades. It allows you to mirror the moves of experienced traders. In essence:

  • Goal: Enable users to track and mirror trading signals from experts on platforms like X (Twitter) and Telegram.

  • How it works: You select which crypto influencers (KOLs) to follow. When those KOLs make moves — such as posting about a token or following a new project — the bot can automatically replicate their trades in your connected wallet, if you have set it to do so.

First Steps

To start using the bot, follow these initial setup steps:

  1. Launching the Bot: Open Telegram and find the Outlight Trade Bot (you can use the provided link or QR code to locate @OutLightBetaTradeBot).

  1. Once you’ve opened the chat, click the “Create Secure Wallet” button to begin the setup process.

  1. Delegate Wallet Access: Once your wallet is set up, the bot will ask for permission to execute trades on your behalf. Click “Delegate Access” to allow the bot to process automated transactions under your instructions. Note: You can revoke this access at any time if needed.

  1. Click "Finish setup" in order to conclude the setup process. Your wallet remains protected by Privy.

  2. Go to Home Screen: Once setup is complete, tap “Track and Trade” (the main button on the bot’s home panel) to start using the trading features. This will take you to the bot’s main interface where you can configure which traders to track and view your portfolio status. Below, on this page, you will find a step-by-step guidelines on how to set up your auto-trading strategy here.

Interacting with the Bot: Navigation Buttons

At the bottom of the bot’s interface, there are six main navigation buttons.

Here’s what each one does:

  • Settings: Adjust bot settings such as the default amount to invest on each trade, notification preferences, and other parameters.

  • Track and Trade: Likely the main button that takes you to the tracking and trading panel.

Click it to get started.

When you first start, the bot might suggest a few popular KOLs to track.

In order to modify the pre-loaded KOLs to follow, tap/click “Edit” next to their name:

Here, you can customise the following settings:

  • Post: Notify, Autotrade, Do nothing

  • Follow: Notify, Autotrade, Do nothing

  • Autotrade: Autotrade amount in SOL for this KOL

  • Autotrade TP: % of price gain after which the sell transaction (take profit) is auto-executed

  • Autotrade SL: % of price decrease after which the sell transaction (stop-loss) is auto-executed

Choosing KOLs to Track

In order to add the KOLs of your choice, to use their signals, on the bottom of the "Track and Trade" activity, you have the following options:

  • Tap/Click on "Add X User" if you would like to follow the KOL posting on X (Twitter) and paste the KOL's X handle in the Message bar (eg. @mrpunkdoteth)

  • Tap/Click on "Add Channel" if you would like to follow the KOL posting on Telegram and paste the KOL's name/ID in the Message bar

The bot tracks the selected users' events on X (new posts) and whether they follow another accounts. Such events are filtered to only include token-related ones. When a relevant event occurs, the chosen action is triggered. Similar activities (new token-related posts with signals) are tracked from the selected Telegram accounts.

By choosing which KOLs to follow and setting the actions and trade sizes for their signals, you tailor the bot to your personal trading strategy and risk tolerance.

  • Portfolio: View your current assets and their performance. This shows what tokens you hold and their values.

If you would like to Buy or Sell your assets tap/click “Trade”:

  • "Sell X" - if you want to sell a specific amount of your assets

  • "Sell All" - if you want to sell all your assets.

  • "Buy X" - if you want to buy a specific amount of your assets.

If you would like to add Take Profit price, tap/click “Add TP”.

Here, you can edit the TP price in % or SOL. You can also remove the previously added setting.

If you want to add Stop Loss price, tap/click “Add SL”.

Here, you can edit the SL price in % or SOL. You can also remove the previously added setting.

In case you would like to see a chart of your purchased coin, tap/click "DexScreener" link.

If, for some reason, you don't see your purchased assets, tap/click the "Sync with blockchain data" button to refresh the data.

In the Portfolio view, you can also "Generate PnL card" (stating your profit and loss status on a transaction involving the selected token). An example of such card mifg look as follows:

After getting back to the "Home" menu, here are the remaining options to select:

  • Buy: Manually buy a cryptocurrency by entering its contract address or selecting it from a list.

  • Sell: Manually sell a cryptocurrency from your portfolio.

  • Referral: Generate your referral link to invite friends. If others join via your link, you may earn rewards or bonuses.

  • Wallet: Manage your wallet (e.g., view address, add or withdraw funds, or export your seed phrase for backup).

Using these buttons, you can control the bot and make manual trades or adjustments as needed. They provide quick access to all major functions without having to remember text commands.

Commands

You can use the following commands typing them directly in the Message bar of the bot:

  • /home Navigate to the home screen.

  • /portfolio Check portfolio details, including assets, amounts, and performance.

  • /referral Access referral information to invite others and earn rewards.

  • /wallet View wallet information, manage funds, and perform wallet-related actions.

  • /buy Buy cryptocurrency by entering a contract address.

  • /sell Sell cryptocurrency.

  • /add Add a person to the tracking.

  • /trackandtrade Track trading signals and automatically copy trades.

  • /settings Access settings to configure default values, such as trade amounts.

  • /start Start the bot and initialize its functions.

  • /help Get assistance or guidance on how to use the bot.

What’s Next?

After you’ve set up your bot and configured some KOLs to track, here are a few tips:

  • Start by tracking one or two influencers that have a solid reputation or whose investment style you understand. As you get comfortable, you can add more.

  • Use the Settings to establish risk limits (for example, a maximum amount to invest per day or per trade) to control potential losses.

  • Keep an eye on your Portfolio section. This will help you monitor how well the copied trades are performing and let you evaluate the effectiveness of the signals you’re following. Over time, you might decide to stop following a KOL if their signals aren’t profitable, or increase your investment amount if a particular strategy is working well.

Important: Remember that cryptocurrency trading carries risk. The Outlight Trading Bot is a tool to facilitate trading, but it does not guarantee profits. Always invest only what you can afford to lose, and consider doing your own research on any tokens or signals you follow. The bot can enhance your trading efficiency, but wise investing still requires caution and discretion.
